Boredom + No PR = This

Fri Nov 27, 2009, 1:41 PM
So, I decided that now was the prime time for my quarterly journal. For three reasons; 1. I never made a reply journal for my To-Do list, 2. I really dont have anything better to do (well except homework) and 3. My mum has commendeered my PR computer...

Well I might as well get my review of my To-Do list done. I accomplished less than 1/3 of my goals...lets leave that be.

Let me warn you now, im going to keep typing until my PR computer is vacated. This could get long and useless.

I'll start with this. My friend :iconmisswackyp48: lent me a 700 page book on the life of Joseph Stalin (real name Joseph Vissarionovich Djugashvili). Apparently her dad didn't like the idea of lending it to me, becuase he thought I was some type of Neocommunist (which is understandable considering I was Stalin for Halloween). Im enjoying it so far, but the chapter names and subnames are really . . . harlequin. Like Chapter One, The Georgian and the Schoolgirl, but then they start getting strange; 'The Dwarf Rises, Casanova Falls', 'The Tsar Rides the Metro'. I think this book is the only book to call Stalin and Kirov "Jolly Old Fellows". That aside, it turns out that Stalin's father was actually really abusive to both him and his mother, but eventually his mother took young Stalin and left his father...she then had to be a prostitute for local priests to gain the 'blessing of the church' so his Father couldn't touch Stalin. If he didn't become a politician, he would have been a serial killer. Everyone around Stalin seemed to have some type of nickname. I dont really know why everyone had to have a nickname, but its interesting seeing as he had three names. He was also exiled SEVEN TIMES.

I would write more, but im only forty pages in. So....Music time. Presently im listening to Mann Gegen Mann, and I think I like the music video far more than I should. Its probably due to the fact that Till turns into a demon at the end of it, before proceeding to ripe his hair out. But the song is bitchin, and it really shows off Schneider's drum skill. Though I think Flake's piano was underplayed.

Well, MGM ended, so ive switched to Keine Lust. At first I really didn't like this song, but I loved the video. However after much listening to it, its grown on me. Again I think Flake was underplayed. There are only two things I wonder about it though, at some point all the band members eat these weird rectangular jelly things, and I have no idea what they are. The second thing I wonder, is where its shot. It looks like a abandoned recording studio, but they all drove their cars right up to where they begin to play, which makes me think its under a bridge somewhere. Excuse me I have to get more chips.

Sorry for the interuption. Well ive changed songs again - Light a Candle. I really like Neil Young's version of this. Though ive never listened to any other covers, so I cant compare it. My only complaint is the sparce lyrics, the song has great lyrics but too few of them. I only have one objection to Neil Young and that is how he names his songs. He had a song called Harvest Moon, and a song called Harvest (both excellent). However Harvest was named after his album Harvest, which had a large orange circle behind it. This made me think that Harvest was actually Harvest Moon and led to a very strange conversation with my dad (the only other Neil Young fan I know) about Harvest Moon. One song is extremely sad, the other is extremely . . . not sad, but not happy (is hopeful an emotion?), so neither of us understood what the other was saying about the song.

Still reading? You have nothing better to do than read my bored ravings? Well I have nothing better to do except write my bored ravings, though I could start my Macbeth essay...Speaking of Macbeth, my english class today was well spent. The first half of it was a rather useful discussion of analysis essays, but when whats-her-face decided to read random passages from the book and have us analyse them I decided my time was better spent talking with :icondevilmo666:. So we spent the latter half of the period finding quotes proving that Macbeth was actually gay I dont remember any of them, but there were alot. And adding as many curses into the play as we could:

"So Macduff was fucking pissed at Macbeth for killing his entire family"
"Entire Goddamn family"
"So he bought a shitload of cans of whup ass"
"And opened them with Malcolm up in Buckingham Wood"
"And the fucking trees were walking and everyone was like Woah Shit"

It was a productive period. Finally my PR comp is free. Well if you've read this entire thing I commend you. Anyway ive gotta go grind in the Toy Factory.

Everything you have asked I have done. You asked for the child to be taken, I took him. You cowered before me, I was frightening. I have reordered time, I have turned the world upside down, and I have done it all for you!...Isn't that generous?

I forgot you had a DA. I'll watch you as a political effort.
